To create a new rate on any version you go to Setup – Rates Management – Setup Rate Code – Insert. Once you enter that information you hit OK and then Close. Then, you click on Insert and look for the rate code you just setup and complete the process.

Comment on Why You Should Consider Hiring a Revenue ManagerHiring a Revenue Manager by jamesm@foursidesconsulting.com https://www.foursidesconsulting.com/notebook/2013-02-hiring-a-revenue-manager/#comment-19 Mon, 09 Sep 2013 18:09:47 +0000 http://beta.foursidesconsulting.com/index.php/2013/02/18/2013-02-hiring-a-revenue-manager/#comment-19 In reply to issa15coulibaly@yahoo.com.

Every revenue manager is going to have a different approach to how they get things done. Isolating themselves from the hotel is never going to be a good thing, regardless of their experience. Apart from setting rates and analyzing competition, I enjoy interacting with the front desk agents and helping them learn different selling techniques, how to upsell, why rates fluctuate, and so forth.
My goal is always to teach and give my toolset back to the hotels so they can be independent once more. Hopefully inspire a front desk agent to learn more and pursue the path of revenue management, and take over my role at the property. Not everyone behaves like this, of course. It only takes a few bad experiences to ruin it for the rest of us.

Can’t seem to find a working download link anywhere. Am establishing a new B&B this fall.
