SiteMinder is a channel manager that Little Hotelier is integrated with, but is available separately for hotels that have a property management system already. SiteMinder integrates with over 100 different PMSes, including one of my favourites for larger properties InnQuest roomMaster, but also Opera, Maestro, and WebRezPro to name a few. SiteMinder allows hotels to control their availability and rates across 400+ channels. It also allows you to publish your rates through the GDS systems, like Sabre and Amadeus, to connect with travel agents serving customers and corporate clients around the world. SiteMinder is also a service that provides website design, web booking, and payment processing for properties.
SiteMinder adds a powerful punch to your current property management system (if it is one of the 100+ PMS systems it integrates with) or Little Hotelier. The channel manager that powers Little Hotelier is available separately to integrate with your PMS, allowing you the same flexibility with connecting to over 400 booking channels around the world. The added feature with the booking channels with SiteMinder is the ability to connect with the GDS systems and the travel agencies directly. SiteMinder has some added control with automated yield management to close off dates as the availability gets lower to maximize the revenues generated at the hotel directly (and cut out the expensive commissions).
The channel manager is only one aspect of SiteMinder, however. The main power comes from its integrations with all the hotel apps available on their marketplace. A lot of other web-based PMS systems integrate well with partners, but the list of partners that SiteMinder connects with is quite impressive. It can connect with some of my preferred options, Guestfolio (now Cendyn) and GuestRevu for guest emails, surveys, and more; HelloShift for guest connection or staff communication; Revenue management solutions with Happy Hotel and HotelSoft; and lots more. The list is extensive to also include self check-in kiosks and other automated systems.
The other part of SiteMinder is the web design and web booking engine. These two are also simple to setup but also powerful features of the software. SiteMinder put out a few videos that describe it best.
The best part about SiteMinder is the affordability of it. The price is dependent on the number of rooms the hotel and offers discounts on the services for multi-property owners.
